Marta Prus, a direction student, won the Grand Prix and the Best Documentary Prize at the 7th Solanin Film Festival in Nowa Sol, Poland, for her film „Talk to Me”.

The Solanian Film Festival screens independent and original films, both Polish and international.

The documentary film "Talk to me" is about twenty-one-year-old Chris, a marihuana addict, who is staying at the Monar rehab centre in Warsaw. However, it is not yet another film about addictions. It presents a relationship between the director and the film protagonist and is an unusual example of how life enters the film matter placing the director and the protagonists in a complex situation. It’s a story of intimate feelings being born and a struggle against one’s weaknesses and a process of growing up.

The film had previously won prizes at "Łodzią po Wiśle" Lodz Student Film Competition - for "using sincere documentary tools and breaking narration stereotypes" and at the Koszalin "Młodzi i Film" Festival for "posing a question about exceeding limits and courage in revealing documentary skills".

Artistic supervision: Jacek Bławut and Andrzej Sapija. Camera: Adam Suzin.
