Infrastructure Minister visits Lodz Film School

The Minister of Infrastructure and Development, Maria Wasiak, met the Rector of the Lodz Film School Prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek, and visited the New Media Centre.

The New Media Centre started functioning in 2011. It is one of 79 investments of the 11th "Culture and Cultural Heritage" Priority of the Operational Program "Infrastructure and Environment 2007 -2013". -

It is important to organize investment policy in such a way so that the outcome can fulfill primary functions in the best possible way – said Minister Maria Wasiak to the journalists.

The Centre building accommodates classrooms for classes in digital media and new technologies. It is 5 storey high, and comprises the interior space of 5,987 square metres, in total consisting of 128 rooms occupied by specializations such as: animation and special effects, film editing, photography and screenwriting. There is a school film archive in the basement.

- Buildings are one thing , and having them furnished with equipment, is another. For this, large financial resources are needed – we depend on technology with whose development we have to keep up. – said Rector Mariusz Grzegorzek.

Minister Maria Wasiak had a tour of the school accompanied by the Rektora Prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek and also Iwona Śledzińska-Katarasińska, MP and Joanna Skrzydlewska, Lodz District board member.
