Barbara Wypych, a Lodz Film School acting student, receives the Grand Prix of the 33rd Drama Schools’ Festival! See the complete jury verdict!

Each of these young and talented actors from Polish drama schools had waited for this one night for four years. Although only some received prizes they’re all winners. Here is what was said on stage of Teatr Nowy just before the announcement of the jury verdict.

Prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek, Lodz Film School Rector - I would like to thank all the students, young actors. I would also like to thank all these people who with there work contributed to the event and allowed it to happen so that we could see all these plays staged during the festival.

Prof. Dorota Segda, Krakow Drama School Vice-rector - I would like to thank the Lodz Film School for being a great host of the festival once again. Its participants should all feel like winners. I hope you will be able to work with people who will cherish these prizes together with you.

Dr Barbara Osterloff, Warsaw Theatre Academy Vice-rector - Let’s recall one of the scenes from „Cyberiada” – the scene with a ladder. You have just successfully started to climb you career ladder. The top of it, the more difficult part is still ahead. I wish you strength and perseverance to get to the top.

Barbara Wypych, a Lodz Film School student and the Grand Prix winner of the 33rd Drama Schools’ Festival - I direct my words to Grzegorz Wiśniewski – it was you who gave me this exceptional chance, without you I wouldn’t be here on this stage now. Thank you! I would also like to thank Rector Mariusz Grzegorzek for his support and and Mrs Zofii Uzelac, the Dean, for preparing us so well to this festival.
