Bartosz Kruhlik, the screenwriter and the director of the film "The Heat", is a Lodz Film School direction student.. Bartosz is a winner of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Prize for outstanding achievements of artistic school students. The film "The Heat" was shot by Daniel Wawrzyniak, a Lodz Film School cinematography graduate.

The film, which has already won over 30 prizes, will be screened in March at the following international festivals: the Rafi Peer International Festival in Lahore (Pakistan), the Queens World Film Festival in Jackson Heights, NY (USA), the Silk Road Film Festival in Dublin (Ireland) and The Victoria TX Independent Film Festival in Victoria, TX (USA). So far, the film has participated in over 120 festivals round the world.

"The Heat" was awarded prizes at the following festivals: "Rychnovská osmička" International Film Festival in Rychno, "Kinofest" in Bucharest, "Brno 16" Festival, International Film Festival in Hannover, "Cinemaiubit" Student Film Festival in Bucharest, the Gjakova Film Festival in Kosovo, the Ficil Bio Festival Internacional de Cine de Lebu in Chile, Festival "AsterFest" in Strumica, Tolfa Short Film Festival in Rome, the "Basta Fest” in Bajina Basta, Serbia, Amantea Festival, Italy, Kashmir Festival in India, "Ficvina" in Vina del Mar, Cortonograma Short Film Festival in Venice, the "Fesancor" Festival in Santiago and Ljubljana Festival,.
