The play "Oś", based on Agnieszka Osiecka’s texts, directed by a Lodz Film School direction student, Filip Gieldon, will be staged at the Powszechny Theatre.

- Addicted to each other they keep fighting. They fight trying to understand each other. Both on stage and off stage; love and music compensate each other and determine each other – said after the play „Oś” Filip Gieldon, a Lodz Film School direction student. The music play based on Agnieszka Osiecka’s texts, performed by Marta Jarczewska and Arkadiusz Wójcik on the small stage of the Powszechny Theatre, already from this Saturday.

The idea for the project „Oś” was born in the actors’, Marta and Arek’s, heads, who invited me to join in. – says Filip Gieldon. Initialy we thought about a concert but eventually we chose a form of a  play – I introduced narration and characters. The „Cocaine” rock band members talk to each other using Osiecka’s texts. Their own interpretations of Osiecka’s texts express violent emotions describing a toxic relationship of the lovers. The play incorporates live music.

The play „Oś” is another Filip Gieldon’s professional experience connected with theatre. The first one was a play „Gruzy” which was performed in the Warsaw Theatre. Gieldon was also an assistant to Zbigniew Brzoza in the play „Z Różewicza dyplom” staged at the Studyjny Theatre, and to Nikołaj Kolada in the play „Marzenie Nataszy” at the Jaracza Theatre in Lodz.
