The Polish film director and cinematography graduate of the Polish National Film School in Lodz, died at the age of 61 after a long battle with cancer.

He was one of the greatest artists in the history of the Polish Cinema, directing films such as "Dług" (1999), "Mój Nikifor" (2004), "Plac Zbawiciela" (2006) and "Papusza" (2013).

Krzysztof Krazue won many Polish and international festival prizes: double winner of the "Golden Lion" Prize at the Gdynia Film Festival for the films "Dług" and "Plac Zbawiciela", four-time winner of the Polish Film Academy "Eagle" Prize for the same films. For his last film, "Papusza" he received a distinction at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, a prize at the International Film Festival in Uruguay, Special Prize at the Istanbul Film Festival and the Audience Prize at the Polish Film Festival in New York.
