On 18 & 19 December, Borys Szyc ran a workshop with fourth year acting students. The actor had accepted the invitation of Łukasz Maciejewski, Acting Dept lecturer.

The students invited the guests to their diploma plays at the Studyjny Theatre: "The Wedding" directed by Waldemar Zawodziński and "Jungle People" directed by Paweł Świątek.

Borys Szyc was born in Lodz. He graduated from the Warsaw Drama Academy and is an actor of the Współczesny Theatre in Warsaw. He is also a popular film actor known for his numerous roles, among them those in the films "Vinci" by Juliusz Machulski, "Wojna polsko-ruska" by Xawery Żuławski and "Mniejsze zło" by Janusz Morgenstern. At present Borys Szyc can be seen on the big screen in a  film "Serce, serduszko" by Jan Jakub Kolski. For the role of a priest, Pietryga, Szyc received a Special Jury Prize of the Film Acting Festival in Wrocław. As a theatre actor he has received the "Felix" Prize for the role of Bucefał in the play "Bambini di Praga" staged at the Współczesny Theatre in Warsaw, the "Golden Duck" Best Actor Prize, the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Prize for a role in the play "Sztuka bez tytułu" by Agnieszka Glińska at the Współczesny Theatre in Warsaw.

Łukasz Maciejewski, the Acting Department lecturer who invited Borys Szyc to the Film School, is a film and theatre critic and journalist. Last year his classes with students were visited by Danuta Stenka, Łukasz Dzięcioł, Greg Zgliński and Tomasz Wasilewski.
