The selection results of the 37th International Short Film Festival in Clerrmont-Ferrand, one of the biggest and the most famous festivals, have been announced.

At this prestigious and one of the biggest short film festivals in the world the Lodz Film School will be represented by five films screening in the international competition. Among the films there are two animated films "Nieprawdopodobnie elastyczny człowiek" by Karolina Specht, an animation student (artistic supervision: Henryk Ryszka & Aleksandra Chrapowicka) and "Hipopotamy" by Piotr Dumała, a lecturer at the school. During the Polish market screenings film professionals accredited at the Festival will be able to see the films "Opowieść o lesie" by Katarzyna Melnyk, an animation student (artistic supervision: Henryk Ryszka, Aleksandra Chrapowicka) and "Obowiązki", a fiction diploma film by Anna Karasińska, a direction student (artistic supervision: Jan Jakub Kolski). In the Lab Competition a documentary "Obiekt" by Paulina Skibińska, a Lodz Film School PhD student, will be screened. The latter has been lately awarded for „visual poetry” at the Sundance Festival.
