First year cinematography students created an abstract painting during their art class taught by prof. Mirosław Ledwosiński. The painting has been displayed on the first floor of the building J.
Prof. Mirosław Ledwosiński: - The idea for the painting was supposed to be "expression", not to be mixed with "dynamics", which is a calculated way of covering the surface. Expression perceived as spontaneity and joy.
The painting was created by: Ignacy Ciszewski, Nils Croné, Jakub Dylewski, Edgar Grishchuk, Joanna Kakitek, Ewa Radzewicz and Aleksandr Tsymbaliuk.
- The students themselves worked out the method how to divide the work. They used various materials: paint, film stock, sand - the result turned out to be amazing - as if the painting was created by one person. - says Piotr Kotlicki, an assistant at the Lodz Film School.
Joanna Kakitek and Ewa Radzewicz: - Each of us could devote two minutes to add something new to the painting. You were expected to act quickly and spontaneously in reaction to what your predecessors have done. One of us contributed to the creative process blind-folded.
