A diploma play, Gombrowicz’s "The Wedding" directed by Waldemar Zawodziński gets a distinction at the 11th International Gombrowicz Festival in Radom.

The play was performed by Lodz Film School acting students on the stage of the Kochanowski Theatre in Radom on 20th October. Nine plays from the countries such as Poland, France, Argentina and Hungary, competed during the festival (18-25 October, 2014). The jury's verdict was announced yesterday.

The festival jury consisting of: Bożena Sawicka, Jarosław Fedoryszyn, Paweł Miśkiewicz, Domonkos Márk Kis and Anna Kulpa - jury secretary, awarded the following prizes:

GRAND PRIX - the Mayor’s of Radom Prize - the sculpture by prof. Krzysztof Nitsch - to the group Nemzeti Színház from Budapest for the play „Operetka” directed by Andrzej Bubien.

The prize in the amount of 8,000 PLN to the Warsaw IMKA Theatre for the play „Operetka” directed by Mikołaj Grabowski.

The prize in the amount of 4,000 to Maja Kleszcz and Wojciech Krzak for music and vocal support to the play „Iwona, księżniczka Burgunda” directed by Agata Duda- Gracz and performed by actors from the Lodz Jaracza Theatre.

Two equel prizes in the amount of 2,000 PLN each, to the actors: Włodzimierz Mancewicz for the part of old-age pensioner in the play "Przenikanie" performed by the actors from the Powszechny Theatre named after J. Kochanowski from Radom, direction: Waldemar Śmigasiewicz; and to Vincent Aubert for the part of Witold in the play "Przekątna Szalonego. Spotkanie z Filidorem" for Compagnie ITEK from Reims, direction: Ewa Kraska.

The prize in the amount of 2,000 PLN to Chloé Bégou for an artistic attempt to enter Gombrowicz’s world of imagination in the play "Bakakaj – niedojrzałe oratorium" performed by La Compagnie Bakakai from Lyon.

Distinction and cash in the amount of 2,000 PLN for the Lodz Film School students’ diploma play "Ślub" directed by Waldemar Zawodziński.

Distinction to Andrzej Surowiec, for his acting debut in the play "Przenikanie" performed by actors from the Radom Powszechny Theatre, direction: Waldemar Śmigasiewicz.
