Already tomorrow the premiere of the play "The Wedding" by Witold Gombrowicz directed by Waldemar Zawodziński. It’s the second diploma play of our acting students in this academic year.

The students already had an opportunity to present the play during the International Gombrowicz Festival which was held in Radom this week. The play was enthusiastically received at the Festival. Last Thursday the director and the actors had a meeting with journalists to whom they presented some scenes from the play. This Saturday there will be the premiere on Big Stage of the Studyjny Theatre.

Fourth year Lodz Film School acting students performing in the play are: Mikołaj Chroboczek (Father), Marta Herman (Mother), Sebastian Jasnoch (Drunk), Michał Jóźwik (Chancellor), Marcin Miodek (Henryk/Władzio), Anna Mrozowska (Mania) & Grzegorz Otrębski (Henryk/Władzio). Costumes: Maria Balcerek; tango choreography by Edyta Wasłowska. Play and art direction: Waldemar Zawodziński. Waldemar Zawodziński, who is the artistic director at the Jaracza Theatre in Lodz, has directed theatre plays, operas and musicals, e.g. at the Stary Theatre in Krakow, the Współczesny Theatre in Szczecin, the Nowy Theatre in Poznan, the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk, the Wielki Theatre in Łodz, Krakow Opera House and the National Opera in Warsaw.
