On the occasion of the inauguration of the new 2014/2015 academic year, the Minister of Culture, Malgorzata Omilanowska wishes success in artistic, didactic and scientific work.

In her letter addressed to rectors, academic authorities and society, Mrs Małgorzata Omilanowska, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, wished everybody success in their artistic and didactic work.
Then she expressed hope that the new ammended law for Polish higher education introduced this year will serve to further develop education by offering new solutions. She admitted that despite low demographics, the number of candidates for artistic education has not diminished. She said she was proud that international students consititute 4,13 % of all students in artistic schools. This is undoubtedly proof that the high level and quality of education, which is supported by interesting educational courses, is appealing to those who are interested in their own development. It is also proof of the wisdom of the young generation, who in the rich competitive marketplace is capable of choosing schools with long traditions and the best teaching bodies.
The Minister especially addressed the first year students by saying that they are about to start a unique period in their lives. She added that the way in which they will make use of their studies will influence the rest of their lives. That is why she wished all the students perseverence in their studies as well as artistic success.
