The photographic exhibition "Future Condition - from reality to algorithm" consisting of the School photography students and graduates' works receives the 3rd prize of the Photokina Academy in Cologne

Marek Szyryk, the head of Photography Faculty at the Lodz Film School says: - The prize is an important distinction for us. Apart from our school only German schools were awarded by the Photokina Academy in Cologne. I am pleased that our stand, which was very intriguing, has been noticed. The large format best quality photographs drew attention as well as a pleated catalogue.

Photographs’ authors: Mariusz Drezniak, Przemek Dzienis, Karolina Jonderko, Irena Kalicka, Michał Matejko, Maciej Nowaczyk, Agata Opalińska, Katarzyna Parejko, Tomasz Pastyrczyk, Michał Przeździk-Buczkowski, Filip Gabriel Pudło, Marta Zgierska.

Ewa Ciechanowska, the exhibition curator and Lodz Film School lecturer says: - The vision of the future always derives from the present and is a result of our attitude to the present. We live in the world of overabundance. Information, images and possibilities which catch our attention and have an overwhelming effect are being produced by each of us. How is this going to influence our future? The works presented at the exhibition are the reaction to the overabundance. The authors are not interested in copying the images of the world as such any more. Reflections and visions refer to intuition, apprehensions and concerns about how the world influences the artists now and how it will in future. They have produced twelve alternative visual screenplays ranging from the works derived from real life through games and metaphors up to mathematical algorithms. "Future Condition" is devoted to life in the world of overabundance in which everything changes rapidly.
