Twenty two student films from the Lodz Film School have been selected for the Polish Short Film Competition at the T-Mobile New Horizons Festival in Wroclaw.

The Polish Short Film Competition presents the latest and most interesting short documentary, animation, fiction and experimental films made by promising young directors as well as those Polish directors already recognized who return to Wroclaw with their new films. For the first time this year, the competition patron is T-Mobile, the main festival partner which funds the prizes for the best films in the amount: 10, 7 and 5 thousand zlotys to be received by the film directors. The films will be evaluated by an international jury.

The festival audience will also see Bartosz Warwas’ ‘Jaskółka’ – a full-length diploma film produced by the Lodz Film School. The organizers invite the audience to two screenings of the film, ‘Jaskółka’ by Bartosz Warwas: on 30th July at 13:15 and 1st August at 16:00. The screenings will take place in room 4 at the New Horizons Cinema.

The 14th T-mobile New Horizons Festival will take place in Wroclaw from 24th July – 3rd August. This international festival whose director is Roman Gutek is one of the most interesting artistic events in the European film world. For years, it has been encouraging the idea of promoting films which exceed the bounderies of conventional cinema.
