On 22, March, at 5 p.m., we invite you to the Szklarnia Gallery for the opening of the exhibition of Angelika Markul's works and a meeting with the artist.

The show of Angelika Markul's works is an artistic proposal that initiates individual meetings at the Szklarnia gallery with renowned artists whose work is present in the global art circuit.

Angelika Markul graduated from Beaux Arts de Paris in Christian Boltanski's multimedia studio and has had numerous exhibitions, including being the only Polish artist exhibiting at the prestigious Palais de Tokyo. Markul's extensive work is usually expressed in monumental installations, where the artist combines facts with fiction to create monumental spatial installations and original science fiction.

At the Szklarnia Gallery, we have prepared an intimate show, which will include film works created during her studies that have never been shown anywhere else before together with wax sculptures created since. The conscious clash of different materials and the time in which they were created will become an incentive to reflect and realise that regardless of the time in which we create, how old we are, we are curious about intimacy because it is here that our unexpressed and hidden passions and desires reside.

Both films and sculptures operate very strongly in the sphere of emotions and corporeality, which are constantly present in Markul's work and remain fascinatingly mysterious.
