From 3 to 7, October, the WAMA Film Festival audience will watch films by our students. See which films are going to Olsztyn. The slogan of this year's edition of the Festival is PATIENCE.
In the WAMA Film Festival Short Film Competition we will screen the following films:

FATHER.SON, dir. Jakub Gomółka
PIEŚŃ HUMBAKÓW, dir. Klaudia Folga
SELF, dir. Konrad Kultys
WARSZAWA, HOLANDIA, dir. Ming-Wei Chiang
TAŃCZĄCA CHMURA, dir. Platon Ogarev
“The selected films include those made in Poland and abroad, strong women's cinema about women, strict men's cinema about lost men, a tender look at first love and love that overcomes time, prejudice and the whole world, fresh reactions to the most current problems of today's world - on a micro-scale and globally, struggles with history, politics and... close family,” comments Marta Karnkowska, programmer of the Short Film Competition, on the selection results.
The films will be assessed by two jury panels. The jury composed of experienced filmmakers will award the Grand Prix, the Special Prize and nominations for the Jan Machulski Awards. This Jury consists of: Piotr Domalewski, Katarzyna Figura, Tadeusz Król. The Anna Wasilewska Award will be announced by the Warmia and Mazury Jury composed of artists and social activists who come from, make films there or operate in the region, namely: Piotr Bartuszek, Małgorzata Czaplarska, and Karolina Lewandowska.
This year's festival slogan is PATIENCE:
“PATIENCE sometimes causes suffering, when fulfilled it becomes rewarded. We often expect PATIENCE from others, but sometimes we don't have the strength for it ourselves. PATIENCE can be as strong as a tightly woven spider's web, and at other times, it can crack like glass.
The current political and social situation, both local and global, puts our PATIENCE to the test. These times require PATIENCE, especially from those who expect changes. The authors of the films to be shown at the WAMA Film Festival try to PATIENTLY portray this complicated reality. Especially for young filmmakers who are just starting their adventure with film, screening a film at the festival is a reward for their PATIENCE in making it. However, even the most experienced creators must be prepared for criticism and sometimes have to face meanness. Fortunately, the creators' PATIENCE is rewarded by a grateful audience. So there is also the PATIENCE of the viewers, fans of the festival who have been visiting the WAMA Film Festival for 10 years and who wait for each next edition, and then for each screening.
