The DOK.fest München Award and the International Pitch Award are the two awards for the SON OF THE STREETS project to be directed by Mohammed Almughanni.

In the screenplay, the director returns to the theme of the hero from his short student documentary SON OF THE STREETS, made at the Lodz Film School under the artistic supervision of Jacek Bławut and Andrzej Sapija.

The full-length documentary will be made in coproduction of the Łódź Film Commission.

Khodor is a 13-year-old boy whose family tries to issue him an ID document that proves his existence and gives him the right to education, healthcare and movement outside of the Palestinian refugee camp of Shatila in Beirut, Lebanon. Throughout the process, many of the family old secrets get revealed.
