The choice of language is one of the most important and difficult dilemmas of a young artist, especially in times when we all have the impression that we have more and more languages every day, and at the same time, we experience an acute problem with communication, information and silence, which has an all-powerful impact on our everyday, functional choice of words or voluntary resignation from them - that is, on our lives. The statements from the Lodz Film School students of direction collected in the "Intro-versions”, show this dilemma very clearly. (...) In the over two hundred works that make up this book, perhaps the most powerful are the "reports on oneself", the traces of an individual, their path from freedom to weakness and from weakness to freedom, the ubiquitous attempt to define or redefine that which is closest, is disturbing, or may come in handy. Destruction and re-taming meet with taming and re-destruction - such a serious game takes place here.

These were self-reflection exercises, exercises in shamelessness. I handed over my weekly texts like saliva samples, checking where and who I was at that moment. We would go down to some underground where there was room for shame and creative powerlessness. Images and memories returned, which we shared in trust and good will. There was room for banality, kitsch and cliché there. It didn't matter. Suddenly, it turned out that there was room for everyone in this world.
