A crazy, disturbing, fulfilled concept. Bronka Nowicka worked with four years of students of the Lodz Film School, collected their statements about poisonous, nasty and beautiful times. Nobody treated fleeting time in this way. The recent years in which we have most often felt helplessness. Pandemic, after the pandemic, brutality of attitudes and lack of words - this is what the recent years are associated with. On the other hand, the heroes of INTRO-VERSIONS give an expression to wordlessness. They talk about fatigue and ecstasy, about cigarettes and suffering. This is a collective portrait of the artist from the time of uncertainty. From our time. With smoke, with madness, with vibrations and with depression. Introvertism presented extrovertedly. Read and you will understand.

If psychology were a picture gallery, tickets for this book would be sold. The collective work of the Film School students resembles a branched, multi-coloured structure in which you can see yourself, provided you have the courage to look into non-obvious solids. Impressions on given topics, from "pain" through "specificity", "weakness", "terrain", "archetype" and others, reveal the closeness and value of human intimacy and sensitivity. And even if you are closest to the truth when you miss it, it is worth pausing and reflecting on this intro-version of the word, experience and image of a group whose members devote their whole lives to something as fleeting as the blink of a film frame. Nobody else has or can have such sensitivity and ability to catch detail. This book is a journey worth taking also in order to not only understand more at its end, but also cut off less. I recommend it!

For me, the joy of creating is a child. A restless child, a dirty child and a greedy child.

A restless child likes to dance, bend, twist, go, leave, forget, not to do, then do it the other way round, fall, turn around, step on someone (sometimes willingly, sometimes accidentally), scream, shout out and laugh. This child needs movement and freedom. So that it could let out bad emotions and draw in the good ones. This child likes to be played music. Even, and maybe especially, when home alone. And then it dances just like you don't dance in any club, at any concert, or at any party. It dances in its own way moving very freely. It shakes its arms rather strangely but in a  nice way. It stamps its feet on the floor, jumps once or twice. It will get tired, but the body will breathe, it will flow with blood. It will get hot and content. Oh, how the child likes it.

A dirty child likes to touch, it likes to feel, it likes to fall over (sometimes without even shaking the dirt off) and it likes to get dirty. What it likes most is when none of the adults lectures him and say: wash yourself. This child needs to put on wellington boots from time to time and step into the muddiest puddle in the street. For no reason. Just for the pleasure of wading in a puddle. I would like this child to be immune to the yelling of adults. That they would allow it to be dirty sometimes and that they would have the courage and were willing to say: "Dear child, now be dirty, if you feel good about it, but when you feel that the time has come, please wash yourself and show yourself to people in full." "Sometimes the child doesn't want to get dirty at all, but "it comes out that way". The child then wonders and does not know how it actually happened to be so dirty. I would like this child to have the strength to remove this dirt and learn from it. That it would not give up.

A greedy child just likes to eat. Although it looks inconspicuous, its stomach is very spacious. It eats for pleasure. This child is a gourmet of various exotic dishes that give it energy to work. The menu of favourite dishes includes all sorts of deserts with names such as: "A strange film about strange people, strangely glazed with strange frosting", "Detective puzzles with classic stuffing from old yellowed books", "a chocolate expedition to the ice waterfall of a foreign country" , "Ambitious reading of a bathed in rose water" or "A feast of esoteric filmmakers". The child cannot stand and hates it when a representative of adults scolds it: you'd better do something useful instead of overeating like this. Fortunately, the child is unable to control its appetite, so no adult can forbid the child to do so. "
