"People & Things" by Damian Kosowski (director) and Daniel Krzyżanowski (producer) amongst 5 awarded laureates from the 3rd edition of the War on Screen Fabrique programme.

WoS Fabrique is the European support programme for the screenwriting, producing, and directing of fiction films dedicated to the representation of conflits, created by the War on Screen Film Festival.

For this third edition, the jury, composed of professionals from the Film and TV industry, has gathered to name which among the 9 participating projects will receive a grant. This financial help, totaling 72,000 euros, will serve as a basis for the producers to build their production budget, searching for more funding via the usual channels.

The 5 laureates from this third edition are:
"La Nuit noire" by Hong-Kai Liang and produced by Elsa Klighertz and Anne-Laure Berteau (France - La Femis)
"Ringbahn" by Narges Derakhshan and produced by Nicholas Kirchner (Germany - Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf)
"People & Things" by Damian Kosowski and produced by Daniel Krzyżanowski (Poland - Lodz Film School)
"The Syrian Tunnel" by Sandra Romero and Mayte Carrasco and produced by Ignacio Vuelta (Spain - ECAM)
"The Night Just Before the Woods" by Alejandro Renedo and produced by Jesús Choya (Spain - ECAM)

This year again, WoS has been working alongside prestigious European partners for the initial selection of the projects: La Fémis (France), the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf (Germany), the Lodz Film School (Poland), and the ECAM (Spain).

The residency was divided into two sessions: from Sept. 30-Oct. 8, 2021 at the Jardin d’Hiver in Châlons-en-Champagne, and from Dec. 6-9, 2021 at the Notre-Dame-du-Reclus abbey in Talus-Saint-Prix.
The filmmaker Manele Labidi (Un Divan à Tunis) has assisted all the projects, both collectively and individually, as a script doctor.
