"The climate is changing us." This is the slogan of this year's Przemiany Festival, organized by the Copernicus Science Centre. During the event which takes place from October 8-10, guests and creators will look at various strategies for overcoming the climate crisis. Instead of being scared of an impending catastrophe, the audience's attention will be focused on the most effective methods of avoiding it.

This year, the organizers of the Przemiany Festival decided to use the powerful communication tool known as VR. In cooperation with vnLab from the Film School in Łódź, New Horizons and Centrala FILM, they will present audiences with VR experiences about climate change that have an extremely strongly influence on the emotions, imagination and senses.

What can you expect?
 • Feeling more intense than usual to be part of nature.
 • Looking at everyday life through the prism of the carbon footprint generated by today's lifestyle.
 • Immersing yourself in a world where night is the only shelter from the scorching sun.

The VR review will allow you to examine climatic changes and the future of the blue planet through the prism of poetic images and the bodily experience of digitally generated plants vibrating under their touch. One of the VR experiences presented during the Przemiany Festival will be VR "Noccc" directed by Weronika Lewandowska and Sandra Frydrysiak (production: Laboratory of Visual Narratives vnLab of the Łódź Film School). Staying close to virtual nature has a beneficial effect on our body and psyche. Listening to the sounds of nature lowers your stress and pain levels. What if we immerse ourselves into a world of computer-generated plants? Will the world of digital nature regenerate us? In the poetic experience of "Noccc", we renew our contact with nature. The organic movements of objects, meeting a dancing figure, the environment changes, and so do we. We explore the virtual space of the night to finally stand in front of a virtual sun soaking up its warmth. The poetry and sounds of nature take us on a journey into ourselves. Thanks to the moment spent in the virtual meadow, we notice a real change in the body and breath.

The world premiere of "Noccc" took place at the Sundance Film Festival in 2021. The work was awarded for the best spatial arrangement of interactive sound at the Cinequest Film & VR Festival.
