OKFA the oldest film competition in Poland (67th edition ahead of us!), is a constantly developing project dedicated to cinema outside the official distribution circuit. The competition part of the event is addressed to amateur filmmakers, independent filmmakers and film school students. Its aim is to stimulate and promote the off-film movement and to present the latest achievements in the non-commercial trend of cinema. Importantly, OKFA is more than a few days' action carried out on an annual basis, but a process in which the actions taken are continued and the intended results are preserved. Accompanying events are, among others, film exhibitions, workshops for young people, special screenings, concerts, meetings with artists, attended by about 2,000 people. The organizers are the Centre of Culture and Art in Konin, which implements the festival and the Federation of Independent Filmmakers.
