The ANIMA Animated Film Festival in Brussels is one of the most important European events devoted to animation.
Its 40th edition will be held on February 12-21.
The programme includes five competition sections and five official selections.
Part of the festival is also a Futuranima event for industry professionals.

MARBLES by Natalia Spychała has previously received a special distinction at the Slovenian Stoptrik Film Festival, as well as the award for the Best Experimental Animated Film of the ReAnima Bergen International Animation Festival in Norway.

MARBLES
A hypnotizing pendulum sets a mechanism in motion. A figure appearing fragmentarily, space and a variety of objects form a rhythmic system of mutual dependence. Sound interweaves with image, creating music of repetitive events. What is the cause and what is the effect? A stop motion animation made with threads on a vaseline coated glass plate.
