The guest of the upcoming "Tuesday Afternoon Tea with Cinematographers" will be Russian cinematographer, MIKHAIL KRICHMAN. Dept of Cinematography and the Cinematography Art Club invite on Feb 2, 5pm

MIKHAIL KRICHMAN
Recognized and appreciated Russian cinematographer. Mikhail was born in Moscow in 1967. He studied printing arts at Moscow university. He gained recognition as the cinematographer of all Andrei Zvyagintsev's films, but also collaborated with Liv Ullmann.
Andrei Zvyagintsev supposedly said that Mikhail, an engineer by training, learned the art of cinematography by reading the American Cinematographer magazine.
 Mikhail Krichman has been nominated for the Golden Frog of the Camerimage festival four times, for THE RETURN (nomination), SILENT SOULS (Silver Frog), LEVIATHAN (Golden Frog) and LOVELESS (Silver Frog).
He received the Golden Osella at the Venice IFF in 2010 for his film SILENT SOULS.
Twice nominated for the EFA Cinematography Awards, which he received for the best cinematography for the film LOVELESS in 2017. He was also recognized by the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC), which honoured him with the Spotlight Award for the same film.
In 2011, he received, the prestigious and appreciated among cinematographers, the Manaki Brothers award - Silver Camera for the film SILENT SOULS. He was also nominated for this award twice for the films LEVIATHAN in 2014 and NIEMIŁOŚĆ in 2017.

The organizer of the "Tuesday Afternoon Tea with Cinematographers" meetings is the Cinematography Art Club under the supervision of Zuzanna Zachara.

The meeting with Mikhail Krichman will be hosted by Platon Ogarev, a student of cinematography at the Łódź Film School.
