The guest of the upcoming "Tuesday Afternoon Tea with Cinematographers" will be the Mexican director, CARLOS REYGADAS. The Cinematography Dept invites to the meeting on 19, January, at 5 p.m.

It goes without saying that an opportunity to talk to such a guest is priceless and it does not require extra advertising.

CARLOS REYGADAS
Mexican director, screenwriter and film producer. Born in Mexico City in 1971. He studied law, worked at the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brussels, and also for the United Nations. Cinema has been his greatest passion, especially the films of Andrei Tarkovsky.
In 2002, he made his full-length feature debut "Japón", which won a special prize at Cannes. Subsequent films by Carlos Reygadas gained more and more recognition. "Post tenebras lux" won him the Palme d'Or for the best director at the Cannes festival in 2012, and "Stellet Licht" / "Silent Light" won the jury award in 2007 there.
The list of nominations and awards of the most important film festivals for his films is very rich.
He is considered one of the most interesting contemporary directors of artistic cinema.

The organizer of the "Tuesday Afternoon Tea with Cinematographers" meetings is the Cinematography Art Club under the supervision of Zuzanna Zachara.

The host of the meeting with Carlos Reydagas will be our direction graduate and currently a PhD student, Marta Prus.
