A film "Smutne potwory" (Sad Monsters) directed by a student Justyna Tafel (photography: Weronika Bilska) wins the Grand Prix at the 17th International Film Festival ZOOM-ZBLIŻENIA in Jelenia Góra.

The film was made under the artistic supervision of: Filip Bajon, Jolanta Dylewska and Ewa Braun.
 
Princess (Barbara Kubiak) is 6 and her Daddy is the best in the world. It’s only her who knows, that her Daddy (Piotr Głowacki), in fact, is a brave knight who fights a terrible monster. The worst are the nights when her Mum (Iwona Karlicka) is at work in the hospital, and Princess is left alone at home. When daddy is not back home late, it means that the monster may attack...

Also a documentary "Odwiedziny" by Matej Bobrik, our school direction graduate, received a distinction at the festival.

The Festival Jury consisted of: Artur Więcek "Baron"- the jury president, screenwriter, fiction film director; VilémHakl – artistic director of the culture centre STARÁ GRAFITÁRNA, screenwriter, playwright and publicist; Andrzej Kołodyński – doctor of film studies, writer, translator, vice rector of the Warsaw Film School; Anna Głowińska -  International Animation Film Festival ANIMATOR programme coordinator; Daniel Antosik - photographer, journalist, Lubomierz Comedy Festival artistic director.
