"Film Lodz Festival. 75 years of film history" will take place in 3 cities: Bełchatow, Wielun and Lodz from 27 to 30 August. We invite you to over 30 events and 18 film screenings in the programme!

WORKSHOPS
Sound workshops "Focus on sound" run by Michał Kosterkiewicz and Piotr Knop at TOYA Studios (August 29 in Łódź) and Małgorzata Stasiak’s workshop "DIY film hero" (August 30 in Łódź).

MEETINGS WITH ARTISTS
Two interviews will take place online with Magnus von Horn (August 30 in Łódź) and Leszek Dawid (August 27 and 28 in Wieluń and Bełchatów). Another guest of the Łódź Film Festival will be Mariusz Włodarski, producer of the Polish Oscar candidate, Małgorzata Szumowska's film "Śniegu już nigdy nie będzie"(" Never Gonna Snow Again") and "Smak Pho" by Mariko Bobrik, the screening of which will be followed by a meeting held at the Wytwórnia Cinema (August 29 in Łódź).

VIRTUAL WALKS
Wenancjusz Szuster from the Łódź Film Commission will take festival participants on a tour of film locations. Tadeusz Wijata and Monika Supruniuk will show you around the nooks and crannies of the Lodz Branch of the FINA Film Archive, and Justyna Tomaszewska "Just Lodz" will take you to the former Feature Film Studio at 29, Łąkowa Street and to our Film School at 61/63,Targowa, which will be presented from a completely different perspective ! These four virtual walks will be available online on the project website.

FILM SCREENINGS
Screenings of films from Łódź Studios will be waiting for viewers including "Prekursor" (1988, dir. Grzegorz Królikiewicz), "Wypracowania" (1979, dir. Andrzej Barański), "Krzyż i topór" (1972, dir. Bogdan Dziworski), "Elementarz" (1979, dir. Wojciech Wiszniewski), "Bykowi chwała" (1971, dir. Andrzej Papuziński) produced by Educational Film Studio, and "Był jazz" (1981, dir. Feliks Falk) made at the Feature Film Studio, as well as screenings of student films from the Lodz Film School: "Bar na Viktorii" (2003) & "Moje miejsce"(2004) directed by Leszek Dawid; "Echo" (2003) & "Bez śniegu" (2011) by Magnus von Horn.

The events are being held thanks to co-financing from the budget of the City of Łódź and funds from the National Centre for Culture as part of the "Culture - Interventions 2020" programme.
