NEVER GONNA SNOW AGAIN by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert is the Polish candidate for the Oscar in the Best International Feature Film category.
The decision, which was made by the Oscar Committee chaired by Jan A. P. Kaczmarek, was announced at a press conference held at the Warsaw Kultura Cinema on 10 August.
The film will have its world premiere screening in the Main Competition of this year's Venice International Film Festival. It has also been included in the official selection of the Telluride Film Festival, one of the most important American film festivals.
Other graduates of our school, Agnieszka Wasiak and Mariusz Włodarski from Lava Films, are the producers of the film.
The film production has been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
