Short documentary FAMILY² by Yifan Sun has been selected for 17. International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival DOCU DAYS in Ukraine. The festival will be held online 24.04-3.05.
FAMILY²
Lola was born in China, Ningdu County. She is the third child of her parents. Shortly after her birth, she is taken from her family home by a midwife who is supposed to look after the family. Her parents can't keep Lola in accordance with the "one-child only" policy. She is soon adopted by a Belgian family who surrounds her with love and support. For years, Lola dreams of meeting her biological parents but she has no idea who they are or how to find them. In the summer of 2018 her dream finally comes true.
