From 7 to 8 October, we invite you to the 9th FILMTERACTIVE, the Festival of Interactive Communication, to find out about inspirations, trends, new narrative forms and the latest VR, AR & AI projects

Business, art and technology are no longer self-sufficient. New co-operation models need to be created so that everyone can be successful and go through the ongoing digital transformation. Filmteractive is a place of discussion on topics bordering on innovative marketing, creativity and new technologies. It is here that you can open your mind to new ideas and trends, learn how to function efficiently in the present and how to accurately predict future changes. We show how to use modern technologies, e.g., VR and AR, in the entertainment, advertising and educational field.
Film industry experts, culture researchers and representatives of creative industries will meet to talk, share experiences and knowledge regarding film, technology and advertising related topics. One of the main elements of the event will be a conference focused on "New visual narratives", co-organized by the Visual Narrative Lab http://vnlab.filmschool.lodz.pl/ of the Lodz Film School.
The first part of the conference will be an attempt to look at the narrative, artistic and cognitive potential of immersive media. The talks will focus on how to construct a narrative in the context of developing technologies and industries, including cinematic VR and stereoscopy, augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI) and video games. In the second module, experts will talk about new story telling models through the use of the latest technologies. The last part will be devoted to the need to find ways to monetize digital and interactive content, as well as to search for the answer to the question of who are contemporary recipients: where, on what and how they watch audiovisual content; how they experience it; what draws their attention; what their habits are and what they result from.
Among the speakers of the conference organized as part of Filmteractive are, among others, Prof. George Legrady from the University of California Santa Barbara, Roderick Coover from the School of Theater, Film and Media Arts, Temple University in Philadelphia and Kevin B. Lee from Merz Akademie in Stuttgart.
The event is accompanied by: - "Innovation Zone" - an interactive exhibition presenting examples of innovative solutions and innovative start-ups where you will be able to see (and try out!) various applications of virtual reality and new technologies in business, entertainment and art; - " VR time-spaces" – presentation of the most interesting cinematic VR productions of the last year, organized by the XR Association.
All events take place at the Film School in Łódź, at 61/63, Targowa Street.
