On Sunday evening at the Small Stage of the Jaracza Theatre in Łódź, theatre reviewers from Łódź traditionally, as every year, summed up the artistic season and announced the winners of GOLDEN MASKS.

"Golden Masks", annual awards of Łódź theatre reviewers, for the 2018/2019 season, have been awarded. The sponsor of the awards designed by Ryszard Kai is "Dziennik Łódzki".

There is a strong representation of our students, graduates and lecturers among the awarded artists:

Elżbieta Zajko, our student - for the best debut, for the role of Harper Pitt in Tony Kushner's "Angels in America" directed by Małgorzata Bogajewska on the stage of the Studyjny Theatre.

Agnieszka Skrzypczak, our graduate and PhD student - for the best female role, Natasza in Antoni Chekhov's "Three Sisters", Jenny Knajpiarka in Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's „Opera for Three Pennies" and Monika Sokalska in "Idiots" by Jakub Klimaszewski on the stage of the Jaracza Theatre.

Michał Staszczak, our lecturer and Vice-Rector - for the best male role, Jonathan Jeremiah Peachum - the head of the company "A beggar's friend" in the play "Opera for Three Pennies" by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill on the stage of the Jaracza Theatre.

Marcin Wierzchowski, our lecturer - for the best direction of the play "Idiots" with the dramaturgy of Jakub Klimaszewski staged at the Jaracza Theatre.
