Prestigious Leon Schiller Award went to our graduate and PhD student.

For over half a century, the Leon Schiller Award granted by the Main Board of the ZASP-Association of Polish Artists of the Theatre, Film, Radio and Television on the anniversary of Leon Schiller's birth is a synonym of high quality "brought" to the theatre art by its young artists.

This year's award winner is Agnieszka Skrzypczak, PhD student and graduate of the Film School in Łódź, an actress of the Jaracza Theatre, where as a student she made her debut playing the role of Jean in "Hot Summer in Oklahoma" directed by Artur Urbański.

In the recommendation for the Award, Krystyna Piaseczna and Łukasz Kaczyński from the Theatre Critics Section write: “At present (...)she is the leading actress of her generation not only in the multi-generational group of the Jaracza Theatre, but also other theatres in Łódź. In the theatre-goers’ opinions, she guarantees the highest rank of acting being the main attraction of the plays staged at the theatre in which she is cast. Today it is easy to indicate the features of her acting and the types of characters that she deepens from season to season, opening viewers to new levels of understanding humanity / femininity. (...) Granting the Leon Schiller Award to Agnieszka Skrzypczak (...) will be an appreciation of not only her great talent, extraordinary artistic personality, but also the exemplary professional attitude: honesty and sacrifice.”

Congratulations!!!
