The exact subject matter of the workshop was: "Creative Technologist in present film production". The workshop held in our school was run by Rafał Hanzl, a lecturer of the Lillehammer University College, Norway. Who is a Creative Technologist? It is a specialization which appeared in film industry together with the development of special effects. Creative Technologist supports film production by coordinating its stages from the point of view of post-production. He helps to carry out film director’s vission working with the production, cinematography, art direction, special effects and editing teams. New forms of creation are coded in the interface and capabilities provided by digital technologies. The possibility to test the visual layer of film in a technological context plays a key role not only in the classic film but also in all artistic productions.

The workshop organized by the Film and TV Direction Department was open to all our students. Thank to the workshop the students learned about the aspects of pre-production based on the cooperation with Creative Technologist and the issues connected with virtual and augmented reality. They practised the skills connected with cooperation with Creative Technologist and effective use of special effects in film.
