It’s a great success! Acting students’ diploma film directed by Jagoda Szelc in the section VOICES of the International Film Festival in Rotterdam.
The Rotterdam Festival focuses on young filmmakers and is famous for discovering new talents. This is how the films in the section VOICES, for which “Monument” has successfully qualified, are described by the festival organizers: „These films are driven by powerful stories, by captivating and important topics. Each of them gives us a distinctive way of perceiving the world, is told by filmmakers speaking in a full voice ”.
In Rotterdam, the film „Monument” will be represented by the actress, Zuzanna Lit, our Acting Department student. The program provides five screenings of the film, out of which the first one dedicated to media and film circles will be a closed one. The following screenings, open to the audience, have been scheduled for: 27, January at 21:45, at LantarenVenster 1; 28, January at 22:30, at Cinerama 2; 30, January at 19:00, at Oude Luxor and 2, February at 21:00, at Cinerama 5.
Jagoda Szelc , the director of the film „Monument” , is also the author of the script. Mariusz Grzegorzek is the film’s artistic supervisor. In the cast: Zuzanna Lit, Anna Biernacik, Paulina Lasota, Karolina Bruchnicka, Anna Bolewska, Weronika Asińska, Anna Bieżyńska, Paulina Walendziak, Magdalena Wieczorek, Marta Wiśniewska, Oskar Borkowski, Mateusz Czwartosz, Jakub Gola, Adam Gradowski, Dawid Ptak, Patryk Kabała, Adrian Brząkała, Jakub Matwiejczyk, Mateusz Więcławek, Jakub Zając and Dorota Łukasiewicz-Kwietniewska. Przemysław Brynkiewicz worked on the film as the director of photography. Editing: Anna Garncarczyk. Sound mix: Rafał Nowak. Art direction: Natalia Giza. Costumes: Maja Pawlikowska.
