The director of “The Dark House”, “Rose” and „Clergy”, our school cinematography graduate, met our acting students.
A lecturer at the Acting Department, Łukasz Maciejewski, established a tradition of providing his students with unique opportunities of extraordinary encounters . On 15 January, they met Wojciech Smarzowski whose films starting from the debut „The Wedding” up to the recent blockbuster film „Clergy” keep electrifying the audience.
Wojciech Smarzowski graduated from the Cinematography Department of the Lodz Film School in 1990. His direction debut was the film “The Wedding” (2004), followed by: “The Dark House” (2009), “Rose” (2011), “Traffic Department” (2013), “The Mighty Angel” (2014), “Volhynia” (2016) and “Clergy” (2018). For his films he received dozens of festival awards. Author of television theatre plays and music videos. Member of the Polish Film Academy and European Film Academy.
