Invitation to Współczesny Theatre in Szczecin – the play directed by Justyna Celeda with art direction and costumes by Grzegorz Małecki, has received critics acclaim. On stage: Jakub Gola! Recommended
The play "Fanny and Alexander", which starts with a scene of Christmas Eve celebrated by a large family, feels like a holiday prepared for us at the theatre" – reads a fragment of the article written by Ewa Podgajna for Gazeta Wyborcza in Szczecin. In charge of the play’s production the teachers from our school, Justyna Celeda, the director and Grzegorz Małecki who took care of art direction and costumes. On stage you can see our acting graduate Jakub Gola in the role of Alexander, who previously performed at Studyjny Theatre in Lodz in the play "Spring Awakening" directed by Kuba Kowalski.
The play „Fanny and Alexander” staged at Współczesny Theatre in Szczecin is the first theatrical adaptation of one of the most beautiful works of world cinema in Poland. The action takes place in the family of the director of a provincial theatre which we see through the eyes of a teenaged Alexander and his younger sister, Fanny. Bergman takes us to the world of passion, initiation, talks about responsibilities towards people, and about the communion of the living and the dead. It is a dream about childhood, in which terror is mixed with laughter, the idea of holiness with likable wantonness, and longing for faith with doubt. Nearest shows: 28 & 29 December.
