16 November is the school’s Film Club Music-Video Night. The guests of the evening will be Kamil Sipowicz and Mariusz Grzegorzek, the creator of many Kora & Maanam videos.
The presentation of the music videos of Kora and Maanam at our Film Club will open the PL MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS Festival. - It’s a get-together for all those who love music videos. We love to watch them, make them, we love working on them. We invite everybody to be part of this event. The meeting place is Łódź, a city of factories, tenement buildings, film and great people. It’s here that the festival will have its headquarters - say the festival organizers.
Together with the festival organizers, we invite you to our Film Club on the 1st floor of the Rectorate building. The guests of the event which takes place on Friday, 16 November at 19:00, are: Kamil Sipowicz, philosopher, writer and Kora’s life-partner, and producer of Kora & Maanam’s records, and Mariusz Grzegorzek, the creator of Kora & Maanam’s music videos, ("Po prostu bądź", "Po to jesteś na świecie", "Mówią, że miłość mieszka w niebie", "Smycz", "Łóżko", "Puerto Rico", "Nim zakwitnie tysiąc róż" & "Kraków") and Kora’s film portrait, "Pięć bajek o miłości".

But it’s not only Friday – we would like to invite you to more presentations of music videos and discussions on Saturday, namely:
13.00 - 13.45 – discussion on "What is a music video?". The debate with representatives of music labels will concern such issues as Who do music labels commission music videos for? What are the expected production budgets ? What are the possibilities of cooperation between filmmakers and labels? Guests: music labels’ representatives.
14.15 - 15.00 – discussion on "Music videos on the internet". Subjects: Promotion of music videos on the internet. How much can you earn on a music video and how? Ranges and viewership of music videos. Legal aspects of the music video.
15.30 - 16.15 – discussion on "Music videos and film-makers " Different approaches to making a music video – narrative, or musical impression? Cooperation with musicians: from idea to implementation. How to deal with a small budget? Guests: creators of music videos.
