In the last days before their first classes, the first-year students from all faculties stayed TOGETHER at the integration camp in Rogow.

The camp provided an opportunity for some artistic work – first attempts at screenwriting, film-making, taking photos. Here is an account of one screenwriting student, Karol Marczak:

"ROGÓW, ROGÓW, ROGÓW

The camp in Rogow is over. Last Tuesday afternoon, the newly admitted students rushed back to Lodz to get ready for the start of their first classes the following Wednesday. For the five days of the camp, the weather was pleasant. It may not have felt like the end of summer but it was sunny and quite warm which encouraged the camp participants to go for walks, or sit by the open-fire on chilly evenings anticipating future student life. During the day we would have integration classes and meetings with teachers. In free time we walked in the forest and nearby orchards. In the evenings there were film screenings, including those of student films, followed by discussions with their authors. At night we had a good time around the open fire which was lit every night as it turned out to be very popular. At the camp the animation students made a short animated film. Also a making of film from the camp was shot which will be released soon".

The camp program was designed by all the faculties and the Student Council. It included informative and performative meetings of teachers and students. There were photographic exhibitions organized and many screenings of student films which had been awarded at festivals, as well as excellent fiction and documentary films made by Lodz Film School graduates and its current professors. The screenings and exhibitions were accompanied by meetings with the artists, the film and photography authors.
