During 10 days the audience will have a choice of over 40 events around the leading theme Rebel Culture. The Lodz Four Cultures Festival, which takes place from 7 to 16 September, will remind us through artistic events about a multicultural character of the past and present Lodz. Who can we expect to see, then? Stars such as Maria Peszek, Tymon Tymański, Skubas, Tomek Makowiecki and Daria Zawiałow, who will sing songs of Serge Gainsbourg. At the Old Town Square there will be a concert of Kayah singing with Rebel Babel Ensamble, and L.U.C. Bovska & Zeus who will be accompanied by brass orchestras. The concert will be preceded by a bike parade in the street of Lodz with artists’ participation. Anna Baumgart will provide a feministic performance, and Agnieszka Jakimiak will direct a celebrity theatre gala for the rebels. Everybody will be able to find something for themselves in the wide spectrum of the events ranging from a spectacular performance of the Pipototal Theatre in Manufaktura yard to dancing at the Grand Hotel. Traditionally, the Festival has an educational character referring to and presenting the city’s history at various meetings.

Łódź Four Cultures Festival is a continuation of the Festival of Dialogue of Four Cultures. The Festival that has been organized in Lodz for 16 years refers to the openness and diversity of the place which for decades was a melting pot of nationalities and cultures and a dynamic industrial centre in the very heart of Poland. It is a Festival which tells about co-existence, tolerance and understanding using the language of art: theatre, music and visual arts.
