A week theatre marathon filled with good energy is over. SCENES „have been made”.

A one-week marathon with NOTHING BUT POSITIVE ENERGY is concluded. OUR SCENES ARE FINISHED! On May 20, at the Nowy Theatre we all met once again, for the Grang Finale. First there were songs of Bertolt Brecht – here we would like to thank the third-year students of the Acting Department at the Lodz Film School in Łódź under the supervision of Wojciech Kościelniak. Then there is only the GRAND FINALE.

- It is a great pleasure and joy that we all could meet, that such wonderful people could observe what we are doing. You were engaged in a very intense experience, that is the visit at the drama school. Life will put you in very different situations and it can’t guarantee all of you full time jobs, but this does not mean that the situation is bad – it is dark and alluring. There are plenty of possibilities and alternatives, and you know it very well – said prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek, Rector for Film School in Łódź in his speech .

- This amount of youth, talents, dreams, energy and joy – it is contagious. Soon we will be one family, meeting on the theatre stage. I wish you the realisation of your dreams – said Dorota Segda, Rector of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow.

- I am grateful to the Film School for the organisation of this Festival, which resulted in this wonderful atmosphere, I bow to you in Krakow manner, close to the ground. I am very pleased with the fact that we are already one big family – you are starting your professional career, soon we will meet on the stage, on the film set – said Wojciech Malajkat, Rector of the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.

- We have watched fully developed artists, who have strong personalities. As a Jury members we are very grateful for this experience. No one leaves as a looser, you are here surrounded with the love of your schools. It would be great to work with you, to make scripts for you. You have a wonderful profession, you are great – this is what Joanna-Kos Krauze said before announcing the verdict of the Jury.

There were dozens of awards. There was wild expression of joy for some and silent disappointment for others. But the prizes were awarded every day of the festival – it is good to remember that – there was always packed audience, there were cheers each time and not like there usually are, compliments for the actors could be heard even today. May those cheers be heard all around the world, while we invite you on May 2019 – to our 37th Drama Schools’ Festival in Łódź.
