The jury of the 36th Drama Schools’ Festival announced its verdict. The Grand Prix went to Lodz Film School acting students who presented the play "Spring Awakening" directed by Kuba Kowalski.

PROTOCOL FROM THE SESSION OF THE JURY OF 36TH DRAMA SCHOOLS' FESTIVAL IN ŁÓDŹ

The Jury of the 36th Drama Schools' Festival in Łódź on May 19, 2018 composed of:

1. Jan Frycz - President
2. Anna Jadowska
3. Joanna Kos-Krauze
4. Anna Smolar
5. Bartosz Szydłowski
6. Wioletta Laszczka-Bubień – Secretary after watching ten diploma performances presented by students of Acting Departments:

- The Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw
- AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków
- AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków branch in Wrocław - Film School in Łódź

The Jury awarded the Grand Prix of 15,000 PLN founded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage to the group performing "Spring Awakening" from Film School in Łódź, consisting of fourth-year students: Anna Biernacik, Karolina Bruchnicka, Adrian Brząkała, Jakub Gola, Patryk Kabała, Magdalena Wieczorek, Jakub Zając .

The Jury also awarded special prize of 12,000 PLN to the group performing "Honey I killed our cats" from AST Krakow, consisting of: Izabela Kubrak, Weronika Łukaszewska, Natalia Hodurek, Mateusz Paluch, Daniel Antoniewicz, Bartłomiej Wiater

The Jury awarded the first acting prize of 5,000 PLN to Weronika Warchoł from AST Krakow for her lead role in the spectacle "Effect"

The Jury awarded three equal acting prizes of 3,300 PLN each to:
1. Michał Pawlik from AST Krakow for his role in the performance "Almost us"
2. Agata Różycka from AT in Warsaw for her role in the performance "Marat/Sade" and "Illusions"
3. Stanislaw Twaróg from AST Krakow for his role in the spectacle "Effect"

The Jury awarded nine equal distinctions of 1,000 PLN each to:
1. Maciej Babicz from AT Warsaw for his role in the spectacles: "Rewizor. Będzie wojna!" and "Marat/Sade"
2. Patryk Bartoszewski from AST Wroclaw for his role in the performance "Niewinna"
3. Anastazja Barkoniuk AST Kracow for her role in spectacle "Bahamut"
4. Klara Broda AST Krakow for her role in the spectacle "Niewina"
5. Anna Giegżno from AST Krakow for her role in the performance "Almost us"
6. Łukasz Kurczewski AST Wroclaw for his role in spectacle "Niewina"
7. Daniel Naniotko from AST Krakow for his role in the performance "Effect"
8. Ina Sobala from AST Krakow for her role in the performance "Niewina"
9. Igor Tajchman from AST Krakow for his role in the performance "Bahamut"

The Jury also awarded special prizes:
- The Jan Machulski award "Bądź orłem, nie zniżaj lotów" of 100 USD to Stanisław Twaróg from AST Krakow for his role in the performance "Effect"
- two awards of 2.000 PLN each founded by Opus Film to the actors we would love to see on big screen and television:
- to Weronika Warchoł from AST Krakow for her role in the performance "Effect"
- to Michał Pawlik from AST Krakow for his role in the performance "Almost us" and
- the award of 1.500 PLN for the audiovisual impression founded by the Toya Group to the performers of "Honey I killed our cats" from AST Krakow
- the 36th Drama Schools' Festival Audience awards of 2.000 PLN each go to: Paulina Walendziak from Film School in Łódź – Most Thrilling Actress, Dawid Ptak from Film School in Łódź - Most Thrilling Actor

Special prizes were also awarded:
- Festival’s Newspaper Award TUPOT - "Złota Żyleta" – to Paulina Walendziak (Film School in Łódź)
- The ZASP Award – "Deska sceniczna" and 3.000 PLN to Jakub Gola (Film School in Łódź)
- Lodz Journalists Award (Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Łódzki, Express Ilustrowany, Super Express, Angora) and 1.000 PLN – to Paulina Walendziak (Film School in Łódź)
- Kalejdoskop award "za kulturę słowa" - the cover of the June edition of the magazine and one year of media care – to Magdalena Wieczorek (Film School in Łodź)
- Invitation to the Nowy Theatre in Poznań from director Piotr Kruszczyński, for the spectackles "Honey I killed our cats" (AST Krakow) and "Operetka" (Film School in Łódź) - Michał Pawlicki award – Jakub Zając (Film School in Łódź)
