The Festival opening is already behind us. Now, ahead of us, the whole week of “making scenes” Be prepared!

- It’s an extraordinary moment, we all know about it and we are looking forward to it tremendously - said Lodz Film School Rector during the Festival opening, and continued - We welcome all the guests and prepare ourselves for incredible impressions. The atmosphere here is very lively, unlike the atmosphere outside which is rather moot, to say the least. I hope, and here I address the acting students, that the schools you’re in are your homes, harbors, places where you feel safe, and most of all, places which give you faith and strength to face the uneasy future, and enable you to develop yourselves.

The official festival opening was confirmed by Lodz Film School Rector Mariusz Grzegorzek, Rector of the Warsaw Drama Academy, Wojciech Malajkat, and the Dean of the Wroclaw Acting Department of the Cracow Academy, Krzysztof Kuliński.

During the festival week we will see 13 diploma plays performed by the students from Cracow Drama Academy, its Wroclaw Branch, Warsaw Drama Academy and Lodz Film School. Complete Festival program available at: www.festiwalszkolteatralnych.pl

For the past four years the festival has been opened with a screening of a film featuring Lodz Film School final year acting students. This year it was a film - "Monument" by Jagoda Szelc, a direction student from the Lodz Film School, who already got recognition for her full-length debut film "Tower. A Bright Day".

– It was a great pleasure to work with these exceptional artists. And no more calling them students, no more. – said Jagoda Szelc before the film’s premiere screening.

On the big screen for the first time appeared: Zuzanna Pawlak, Anna Biernacik, Paulina Lasota, Karolina Bruchnicka, Anna Bolewska, Weronika Asińska, Anna Bieżyńska, Paulina Walendziak, Magdalena Wieczorek, Marta Wiśniewska, Oskar Borkowski, Mateusz Czwartosz, Jakub Gola, Adam Gradowski, Dawid Ptak, Patryk Kabała, Adrian Brząkała, Jakub Matwiejczyk, Mateusz Więcławek, Jakub Zając

And last but not the least - the festival opening had its spectacular stage show prepared by the 3rd year Lodz Film School acting students who had worked under the artistic supervision of Wacław Mikłaszewski.
