On the same day as premiere of the film – 23rd of March (Friday) specially at our School – a special screening of – "Tower. A Bright Day."
After the festival tournée, the film returns to where it all began.
On the 23rd of March – Friday – starting from 19.00, special screening of the "Tower. A Bright Day" by Jagoda Szelc in the Film Studio, Z building. For the lecturers, students and staff of the School admission is free. For other viewers - invitation is required. Index Film Studio and Film School in Łódź invite you.
And so the film returns to our School, to the place where it all started. After all this is where Jagoda Szelc, direction student, for whom "Tower. A Bright Day." is a full-length debut, comes from. Here works Mariusz Grzegorzek, our School’s rector and lecturer, who supervised this film, here is Index Film Studio that handled the production of the film – the studio established by Wojciech Jerzy Has, that today successfully continues his thought – to enable students and graduates of our School to start their creative artistic life.
23rd of March is the day when Jagoda Szelc’s film enters the cinemas in Poland. (the distributor of the film is Against Gravity) supplied with numerous achievements: the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia Award – for best screenplay, for directing debut, and Onet: the Discovery of the Festival Award, the film was well received at the International Film Festival in Berlin, where it could have been found in the Festival’s programme in the FORUM section, "Polityka’s Passport", one of the most important cultural distinctions in Poland for the film’s author; not to mention countless positive reviews from viewers and critics- there simply isn’t enough place for that.
