Radosław Śmigulski, president of Polish Film Institute, met with our Rector prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek and the students of our School.

Radosław Śmigulski who's been holding a position of president of PFI for two months arrived today to see the National Film School in Łódź and to talk about his most important project.

My priority is to allow the graduates from film schools to launch fastest possible debuts and make them the best possible ones. – said president of Polish Film Institute during meeting with the students.

For that reason “micro-budget debut” project was proposed, which estimates yearly production of 6 - 7 full-length feature films, 2-3 documentaries and 1-2 animations, made by teams that would consist mostly from debutants. What’s important – this project does not reject the possibility of acquiring the funds for debut film from different sources, which would mean additional chance for making debut film. The budget of the film subsidized in the project would oscillate around the sum of 500-700 thousand PLN.

The project's objectives are not precise yet, the project is in the phase of consultations, one of them was conducted yesterday- with Rector, lecturers and students of our School participating.
