This year the Golden Masks were awarded for the 26th time in their history. In this way Lodz journalists expressed their appreciation of significant events and great performances in the field of theatre in Lodz in the past season 2016/2017.

Golden Mask for the Best Play of the season 2016/2017 was given to Jaracza Theatre in Lodz for the play „Witches of Salem” by Arthur Miller directed by Mariusz Grzegorzek. The play was coproduced by the Lodz Film School.

Golden Mask for the Best Direction in the season 2016/2017 went to Mariusz Grzegorzek for the play „Witches of Salem” by Arthur Miller performed at Jaracza Theatre in Lodz.

Golden Mask for the Best Actor in the season 2016/2017 went to Ireneusz Czop for the role of John Proctor in the play „Witches of Salem” by Arthur Miller performed at Jaracza Theatre in Lodz.

Golden Mask for the best Actress in the season 2016/2017 went to Agnieszka Więdłocha for the role of Abigail Williams in the play „Witches of Salem” by Arthur Miller performed at Jaracza Theatre in Lodz.

Golden Mask for the Best Acting Debut in the season 2016/2017 went to Maciej Musiałowski for the role of Huw Prosser in the play „The Devil who…” by John Osborne at the Studyjny Theatre in Lodz.

The verdict was announced at the Lodz Opera House last Sunday.
