BEAST International Film Festival takes a look at Eastern Europe's cinematography. This year we FOCUS on Poland, on our School and finally – on Bartosz Kruhlik – so from 21.09 we are in Porto!
As part of SCHOOL VISIT – LODZ FILM SCHOOL we are going to screen our students' etudes. The Viewers at the Festival will see: “Pussy” by Renata Gąsiorowska, “Restless Wanderers” by Kalina Alabrudzińska, “Document” by Marcin Podolec, “Beside Oneself” by Karolina Specht, “Birthday” by Jenifer Malmqvist, “Vakha and Magomed” by Marta Prus, “Education” by Emi Buchwald and “Suzy Jones” by Jędrzej Michalak.
Besides screenings – stop motion animation workshops will be held (the initiator and coordinator is Dagna Kidoń who works in our School) as well as directing workshops for youth with Sebastian Buttny, graduate from our directing department, the Munk Prize winner in the best direction category for “Heavy mental”.
Another important event is DIRECTOR FOCUS and in leading role Bartosz Kruhnik, graduate from the directing department, who in Porto will screen “Adaptation”, “Heat” and “http://”
BEAST International Film Festival in Porto will be held between 21st and 24th of September.
