PLANET BRAIN – Science fiction cinema with philosophical undertones since 2000. Kuba Mikurda and the Film School’s cinema invite you all to have a watch.

"Planet Brain" is a selection of the most interesting science-fiction films with philosophical undertones that have been produced since 2000. Each one of them emphasizes concept, experimental ideas and provoking imagery over a high budget and special effects. Each film fantasizes about the future and provides answers to our most pertinent questions by delving into our most basic desires and anxieties. Identity, love, memory, logic, absurdity, alienation – these traditional philosophical concepts take on fascinating new forms in these film, such as a whispering planet or smitten robots.

The curator of the repertoire is a lecturer at the Film School, Philosopher Kuba Mikurda, who will present a brief introduction before each screening.
