Our graduate, screenwriter, director and actor will visit the Lodz Film School on 2 Dec.

The meeting with Jerzy Skolimowski will take place at the TV Studio (building Z) at 2 p.m. Free access to the meeting.

Jerzy Skolimowski was a co-screenwriter of Roman Polański’s ‘Knife in the Water’ and Andrzej Wajda’s ‘Innocent Sorcerers’. The 1964 film ‘Description’ was his film debut. Since 1969, he has lived and worked abroad in England, Italy, and the USA. The winner of prestigious film prizes – Golden Lion at the International Film Festival in Berlin for the film ‘The Start’, Special Prizes at the International Film Festival in Venice for the films ‘Lightship’ and ‘Essential Kiling’ , and Special Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival for the film ‘The Shout’.
His latest film "11 minutes" - received, among others, Special Jury Award for „original artistic idea” at the Film Festival in Gdynia. The film was also a Polish entry for the American Academy Awards in the Foreign Language Film category.

The meeting with Jerzy Skolimowski at the Lodz Film School takes place within the Program of the European Cinema Forum ORLEN Cinergia hosting Jerzy Skolimowski. During the Festival Closing Gala on 2nd Dec. Jerzy Skolimowski will receive Złoty Glan Award for an outstanding contribution to European Cinema development.
