Every year in the fall the American Film Institute presents the best, in their opinion, films from all over the world within the AFI FEST. This year the film screenings will take place from 10 to 17 November. Apart from new films that will be screened during AFI FEST the festival organizers provide film retrospective programs presenting masters of cinema. During a 30-year-long history of the American Film Institute the AFI FEST has screened many films which later on got nominations for Oscars or the awards themselves. AFI FEST is recognized by the American Film Academy as a festival which authorizes the films presented there to compete for Oscars in the Best Short Film Category.

The film “Pussy” by Renata Gąsiorowska, which was made under the artistic supervision of Mariusz Wilczyński and Joanna Jasińska, has already won prizes at film festivals in Poland.
